William Woodfall - son of Memory, was educated at Tonbridge School, was admitted to the Middle Temple in 1789, and called to the Bar in 1795. He had chambers at No. 4 Inner Temple Lane. In 1804, he was appointed Chief Justice of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and died in 1806, aged 35

He compiled “Woodfalls Law of Landlord and Tenant”, of which the 28th edition was printed in 1978, Publishers: Sweet & Maxwell.
