Sophia Woodfall was an actress and a writer, she wrote two novels before her marriage, “Frederick Montravers” and “The Adopted Son”, which appeared in 1802, and “Rosa or The Child of the Abbey” in 1804. After her marriage to Mr. McGibbon, for many years, she was principal actress in Tragedy at the Theatre Royal in Manchester and Liverpool.
